Upper Elementary

Developing a Balance for Transition

The 3rd through 5th-grade years are ones of transition as students develop the skills necessary to become independent learners. Shelton’s Upper Elementary Division is the ideal environment to support and nurture our students through these transformative years.

Organization of self and materials is stressed. Students are taught how to systematically file their papers, keep up with their materials, follow through on homework and projects and set goals for success.

Upper Elementary helps students find the balance between physical well-being, intellectual growth and social/emotional development as they approach the critical Middle School years.
