* Will Holmes Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Will Holmes Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2021 to honor Will and support tuition assistance for a deserving student. Will, 14, of Midland, TX, died on November 22, 2021. He was a Shelton ninth grader. Will started at Shelton in the fifth grade and earned straight A's in his last semester as a student there. Last year as an eighth grader, Will was the recipient of the Spirit of Shelton Award and was one of four boys nominated for the Adele Wolf Award, which is the highest honor that can be awarded to eighth grade students who exhibit 100 percent in leadership, sportsmanship and citizenship. Will was an aspiring graphic designer, a member of the award-winning Shelton Drumline and a caring friend to all. Will is survived by parents, Mary Jane and Bill Holmes, sisters, Beth Ann Holmes, and Mary Claire Holmes of Midland.
