The Shelton Angel has become a very special symbol and represents the wonderful individuals who help Shelton and are our real special angels.
A tradition since 1985, the Shelton sterling silver angel is very much a collaborative effort. Sherry Houpt, Shelton Middle School Art teacher and jewelry designer, selects a student angel drawing to transform into a fanciful sterling silver pendant. She hand carves the design into a sculptural wax model, which is cast using the "lost wax" method. Each piece is hand finished and polished. The Angel designs are available for purchase at $100 each and you may order and pay using the form below.
The proceeds from the Shelton Angels benefit the Art Department. The Angels make great graduation gifts and are a perfect way to show someone how they have really made a difference in your life or the life of your child.
