Stephen Warder Hipp Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Stephen Warder Hipp Memorial Scholarship honors Mr. Hipp, a Shelton parent who died in June 2023. He was the spouse of Brian Rogers and the father of Shelton students Hayden and Ellie. He was born in Nairobi, Kenya, where his father was an executive for the Singer company. Stephen grew up in Florida, graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics in 1989 and became a Certified Public Accountant. He worked at a number of accounting and finance companies in Atlanta, including Ernst & Young, Bank of Austria Creditanstalt and G.E. Capital. He finished his career with a long tenure as a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs in Dallas. Mr. Hipp also sat on several public and private corporate boards and nonprofits, including Priority Technology Holdings and Studio Movie Grill. He was particularly dedicated to his work on the homeless cause with Family Gateway.
