Utilizing the Sequential English Education (SEE) Curriculum

Shelton Outreach & Training offers Utilizing SEE to provide Language Therapists, CALTs and C-SLDS, with a cross-training opportunity.*  This five-day workshop for language therapists provides strategies and resources for working with students with dyslexia and other language learning differences.  Participants learn the scope and sequence of the SEE curriculum paired with abundant practice time.

Participants completing the training are provided with access to online videos and lesson resources.  Materials are provided for in-class use during the training. Materials are then available through an ordering link for attendee purchase for continued professional use.

SEE was written by Dr. Joyce S. Pickering, based on the work of Dr. Charles Shedd.

The SEE Program method utilizes structured, multisensory language instruction for teaching phonological awareness/ reading decoding/ reading comprehension/ reading fluency/ spelling/ morphology/ handwriting/ written expression/ grammar and auditory discrimination & memory.

SEE is designed for learners ages 5 to adults diagnosed with dyslexia or at-risk for dyslexia. The program also supports emerging learners and/or learners who are struggling to read, write and spell. For those who teach in a Montessori classroom, SEE blends easily in the Montessori methods.

The SEE Program meets Texas House Bill 3298 requirements for an Evidenced-Based Dyslexia Program.

Virtual and in-person courses are offered. In-person trainings are conducted at the Shelton School, Dallas, Texas (map)
