Aftercare Program

Shelton offers 2 Aftercare Programs for parents who need extended days.  

• Aftercare
  • Monday - Thursday: 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM 
  • Friday: 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM
• Extended Care
  • Monday - Thursday: 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Fridays: No extended care.
     
• Aftercare begins Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
• EC students must have approval from the Lower School Head to enroll. 
• All students must be picked up by 5:00 on Fridays.
• After-school programs are NOT available on early release days or during parent conferences.

A snack option is available for purchase for $25 per month.  If you choose not to add the snack option, please send a snack with your child each day. Additional snacks will be available for purchase if your student does not have one.  

Although Aftercare is not a formal tutoring program, the teacher on duty will offer limited help with homework.

Students who are waiting for a sibling in another division must be enrolled in Aftercare. This is for safety and security reasons.  

MS Students waiting for an US sibling will register at no charge if they leave at US dismissal time. There is a charge of $100 per month for students who stay on Fridays.  

The pick-up procedure will be given to you by your Aftercare supervisor. You will arrive at the designated area and text the Google Voice number for your division.

A security guard will always be on campus and can be reached at 469-705-8002.

Please be respectful of our staff and plan to arrive by the time you signed up for. 

Parents who do not pick up their student by the end of the program they are registered for will be assessed a late fee of $10 and $1 per minute until they arrive. You will need to come to the Security Desk to sign out.
