The Shelton Morpheme Deck is used as a tool in the introduction and review of prefixes, suffixes and roots.

The cards are sized for classroom use, 4 X 6 inches. Morpheme cards are arranged by category: prefix, root and suffix. Cards are color-coded by category: prefix, suffix or root. Morpheme is on the front of the card; additional information is on back, including meaning(s) of the morpheme, suggested list of example words to lead the students to discover the meaning, key words to assist students in remembering meaning, origin of the morpheme and other pertinent information.
