Written Language Skills Intervention for Students with Dyslexia

Course and Practicum: $3800.00 

Course Description: SALA addresses written language skills (reading, spelling, writing) incorporating MSL techniques for students with specific learning disabilities such as dyslexia and related disorders. The Teaching Level consists of 80 hrs coursework in this approach based on Alphabetic Phonics. Upon successful completion of this course, participants with a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution will be qualified to sit for the Alliance National Registration Exam and become a Certified Academic Language Practitioner.

Prerequisite: A Bachelor's degree is required for Teaching Level certification.

The following are required for Teaching Level certification and are included in the cost of this course:

    • Minimum 5 demonstration lessons
    • 60 clinical teaching hours
