SHELTON ALUMNA TRINITY BYARS KEEPS REACHING HER GOALS Add another entry to the international resume of University of Texas sophomore forward Trinity Byars (Shelton Class of 2021). She was selected to the U.S. Under-20 Women's National Team roster for the 2022 Sud Ladies Cup held in Aubagne, France, from June 16-29. USA beat host France, 3-1, in its opening game with Trinity breaking a 1-1 tie in the second half with goals in the 52nd minute. She scored another goal when Team USA beat Mexico on June 26. The USA team won the Sud Ladies Cup after beating the Netherlands June 28. This marks the final international matches for the U.S. U-20s before a final roster is selected for the upcoming 2022 FIFA U-20 Women World Cup to be contested in Costa Rica Aug. 10-28. Trinity has extensive experience with U.S. Women's National Teams from the U-14 through U-20 levels, while having traveled throughout Europe, Asia, South America, Central America and North America. She was the youngest player on the roster for the United States at the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Uruguay and was part of the U.S. U-20 squad that secured the CONCACAF U-20 Championship earlier this year.
