GRANDPARENTS' DAY JOY Thanks to teachers, staff and students, Grandparents' Day was a grand success. Your children took such pride in showcasing Shelton and did a wonderful job honoring their grandparents! DRIVE-THROUGH COVID VACCINATIONS DEC. 3 The Texas Allergy Center is scheduled to administer the second dose of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines on Friday, Dec. 3. More information and the link for the Sign-Up Genius will be sent after the Thanksgiving break.
NEW PARENT SUPPORT MEETING THURSDAY, DEC. 2, 7 PM ORAL & WRITTEN LANGUAGE: Decoding, Spelling, Comprehension & Composition Oral & Written Language, our fourth New Parent Support meeting of the year, will be held virtually for first-time Shelton parents on Thursday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. New parents will receive an email with a link to pre-register for this webinar on Tuesday, Nov. 30. Parents who are not new to Shelton this year, but who would like to attend/view this webinar, please contact Laura Berend for registration information. What we do at Shelton to help students with these four functions is core to our expertise and experience. Presenters will be Suzanne Stell, Executive Director, Lisa Tyler, Head of Middle School, and Lori Anderson, Shelton's Coordinator of School Speech-Language Pathologists.

KEATON CHEVES WINS WFAA'S SCHOLAR ATHLETE AWARD Senior Keaton Cheves was selected by WFAA Channel 8 for its Scholar Athlete Award. The segment aired Sunday, Nov. 14. Keaton is currently the president of Shelton's Student Council and was captain of the Charger football team. He is also an Eagle Scout, member of the National Honor Society and President of the Young Men's Service League. He has a 3.8 GPA.
