Dallas Chamber of Commerce during October. Said Nancy at the time: "I would like to thank each of you for the opportunity to celebrate the lives Shelton has touched beyond the classroom. I sincerely believe my life's direction and impact reflects the dedication and passion of the legacy Shelton has instilled in me. Thank you for including me so I may share a moment of validation to compensate or the years of doubt. It was an honor to be included, and a joy to contribute to the journey."
