NOW to March 13, 2020 (final registration date) REGISTRATION DEADLINE THIS FRIDAY SPA Food Truck - KONA ICE. The SPA announces the third of its food trucks on March 27, 2020 with KONA ICE! The deadline for purchasing a ticket to the KONA ICE food truck is March 13, 2020. Cost is $10/ student for this Food Truck. If you haven't already purchased your student's food truck ticket, you need to purchase a ticket by March 13, 2020; to purchase click here. We need many volunteers for a Food Truck event. March 28, 2020 - Saturday The Stampede. The premier event at Shelton that benefits the SPA and its various activities. The evening begins at 6:00 pm with cocktails, and continues to a seated dinner, a LIVE auction, a SILENT auction, live entertainment and a FUN time for all. The Stampede takes place at The Bomb Factory in Deep Ellum and succeeds because an army of volunteers ensures that the evening flows seamlessly.

April 18, 2020 - Saturday Shelton's First Mother/Son Evening of Fun - For Shelton boys in grades EC to 5 and their age appropriate brothers, an evening to have FUN with their Moms (or special friend, aunt, adult sister). The site will be Strong Fitness & Fun, 4207 Simonton Road, Dallas 75244. The time is 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. More information will be forthcoming but for now please save the date.
April 28, 2020 - Tuesday End of Year Luncheon - SPA - The SPA's End of Year Luncheon is a fitting way to celebrate the end of another school year. The date is April 28, 2020, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. The site is the Northwood Country Club, 6524 Alpha Road, Dallas 75240 and the cost is $25/person. RSVP/ Registration deadline is April 17, 2020. RSVP/ Registration information will be forthcoming. The speaker will be Kenneth Wilgus, Ph.D., P.C. who is the author of Feeding the Mouth that Bites You: A Complete Guide to Parenting Adolescents and Launching Them into the World.

March 26, 2020 - Thursday NEW INFORMATION Senior Celebration Luncheon for Class of 2020 & Parents - The luncheon is the kick-off for graduation celebrations. Parents are encouraged to attend the luncheon with their senior students. The date is March 26, 2020 Thursday from Noon until 1:45 pm in the Commons. Seniors are free and the charge for parents is $22/ parent. RSVP deadline is end of day on Friday, March 20, 2020. Click here for the registration/ payment form. THE STAMPEDE - STOCK THE BAR Stock the Bar This is a new feature for Stampede 2020.
Premium Liquor (think: bourbon, whiskey, vodka).
These wines and liquor will then be used during the Stampede Stock the Bar. There are two ways to donate to the Stampede Stock the Bar: #1 - Please bring your bottles of wine or liquor to the SPA table which will be located in the Hillcrest Lobby during parent/teacher conferences;

We have the following opportunities for volunteers:
#1 Volunteer for the CHARGER CORRAL
We need volunteers to work in the Charger Corral school spirit store! The Corral depends on its volunteers to be successful. Working in the Corral is easy, fun and it's a great way to become acquainted with other parents, the students, and the Shelton staff.
The Corral is open 8:00 am - 9:00 am Monday through Friday and 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday when school is in session.

#2 Volunteer for the SPA
The Shelton Parents' Association succeeds because of the work of our invaluable parent volunteers.
There are many volunteer opportunities available. Some functions can be done at home and many are of a limited duration.
