PORTAL PROJECT IS ON A ROLL Here's a report from the daily log being kept concerning our Shelton portal experience.
Lower School music teacher Ken Utz had these comments from a recent connection with Andover, MA: "This was a very cool experience. Nine Lower School Primary students from different advisories connected with Andover from 12:00 - 12:30. We actually met with two different classes on their end. First we met with 1st grade students. Andover's portal is inflatable and was set-up inside their school's music room. Andover students and Shelton students interacted immediately. They introduced themselves and asked questions about each other's day, lunch, weather, etc. We brought along a xylophone and one of our students demonstrated how to play Baby Shark. Then both classes joined in singing the song while our musician played the song on the xylophone. It happened organically and was extremely sweet to see the kids lead each other."
Stay tuned - we'll continue to share news of the connections!
