May 22, 2018 SENIOR GRADUATION TAKES PLACE SATURDAY - SHELTON PRIDE You are cordially invited to attend our commencement ceremonies this Saturday, 3:00 pm, in our gym. We'll celebrate the graduation of 66 seniors who leave Shelton for new adventures. These graduates have 434 acceptances to 111 colleges and universities, and they are recipients of $5,856,028 in merit scholarships!
Congratulations to Evan Antich (L), who is our valedictorian. He'll be attending Dartmouth College and (subject to change) majoring in English. Etan Cohn (R) will attend Carnegie Mellon and major in statistics. Come celebrate these and others from the Class of 2019!
Parking is on our lot, plus across the street in front of and behind the church.
Rick Sapio is our featured guest speaker for the occasion.
LAST PODCAST FOR 2019 FEATURES SENIOR BEN RUBIN We hope you've enjoyed the numerous podcasts shared with you this year via ePost. To end the year, please listen to senior (soon-to-be alumnus) Ben Rubin as he tells about finding Shelton and what his journey has been about. Ben plans to attend Lynn University upon graduation.
Special thanks to faculty members Hunter Duesing and Courtney Dios for their assistance with the podcasts.
GROUNDBREAKING AND SCHOOL-WIDE CELEBRATION WERE FESTIVE AND MONUMENTAL We're still on cloud nine (or maybe ten) from last Friday's special occasion! We broke ground at our new campus on Preston Road, then celebrated Texas-style back at our Ward Campus. On hand were Shelton students, faculty, staff, administration, board, alumni, parents, donors, special friends, and those involved in design and construction of our new Shelton home. A full day of festivities brought smiles, cheers and even a few tears of joy to those in attendance for the once-in-a-generation event in the life of Shelton School. Special recognition and thanks went to representatives from The Moody Foundation. Their lead gift of $8.5 million will help unite all educational elements at a premier campus that should be open for back-to-school in August 2020. We could not have done this without your help and support. Stay tuned for updates related to this exciting project.
