SHELTON HOSTS STAND UP LD'S ASK AN EXPERT ROUNDTABLE

 

When: Monday, April, 29th, 7:00 pm

Where: Dining Hall


Join StandUpLD's free interactive roundtable discussions with experienced professionals and parents on your choice of topics, each rotation lasting around 15 minutes. This event is more targeted for parents and teachers than students. Experts and the discussion topics include:

 

 1. Maria Casey, MA Counseling & Psychology, Educational Consultant and Learning Specialist

Topic: Executive Functioning Skills: Development and Strategies for LD Students

 

2. Jim Wright, Regional Coordinator for Partners Resource Network PATH Project

Topic: Strategies to Improve Communication with Your School IEP or 504 Team

 

3. Christine Chien, Parent of Twice Exceptional Children

APRIL MEANS IT'S INTERNATIONAL MONTH - MARK YOUR CALENDARS

The Lower School celebrates the culmination of their international studies with performances Wednesday, April 17th and Thursday, April 18th, 9:00-10:00 am in the Barton Fine Arts Auditorium.  Plus, there is a food tasting on Thursday at 2:00 pm in the atrium near the Lower School office Don't miss the opportunity to see our talented students engaged with music, dance, acting and colorful costumes!
