FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION FOR 2019-2020 DUE TOMORROW
We would like to remind you that the FACTS financial aid application for the 2019-2020 school is open. The financial aid application is due by Thursday, February 28, 2019. If you plan to apply for aid, your application MUST BE submitted by this date. Here's the link to FACTS for your convenience. EMPOWER DYSLEXIA PODCASTS TO INCLUDE SHELTON STAFF AND PARENTS
Shelton parent Rachel Chambers Dreiling, and friend Stephen Yearout, have created a podcast dedicated to bringing parents, students and educators the latest information about dyslexia and related disorders, interventions, research, education policy, and interview experts in the field. Dreiling is a "stakeholder member" of the Continuing Advisory Committee for Special Education with the State of Texas.
Broadcasting live this Thursday, February 28th, at 11 AM from ON-AIR MEDIA studios, they will be hosting Shelton Middle School football coach Chuck Locke, along with Coach Joe Jordan from the SMU football program, to discuss "No Pass No Play," and ins and outs of coaching students with learning differences.
On Thursday, March 7th, they will be interviewing Shelton's Head of Upper Elementary, Amy Kelton, who will be discussing the early warning signs of learning differences, Orthographic Dyslexia, as well as tips for parents.
