SHELTON ON TRAJECTORY FOR MANY YEAR-END ACTIVITIES AND SPECIAL CEREMONIES May is an exceptionally exciting time for all divisions and departments at Shelton. Students are enjoying final field trips for the year (Arboretum for Upper Elem), and there are numerous year-end banquets (Fine Arts and Athletics), school-wide activities (MayFest), final productions (Cinderella), and sports activities (baseball playoffs). There are also the upcoming special awards programs when we have a look-back and celebrate the accomplishments of our awesome students. We hope you'll enjoy it all! SENIOR GRADUATION SPEAKER: MEET MONTE MARTIN We'd like for everyone to know about our graduation speaker. Monte Martin, artist, designer, entrepreneur and CEO of Martin & Martin Design, will be speaking to our graduates on May 26th. Students will relate with him, as he is a person with a learning difference. Martin had testing done at Shelton many years ago. His gusto and creativity are inspirational, and we are happy for him to share his journey and story with our students. Learn more about him here. BASEBALL CONTINUES! Shelton Baseball defeated Colleyville Covenant 4-1. This earns them a place in the next round against Lubbock Christian. The game will be Saturday, May 12th, 6:00 pm at Hardin-Simmons University. Go, Chargers! PARKING FOR MAYFEST THIS FRIDAY The divisions have sent information concerning their respective events. As for parking, parents are invited to park behind Dallas Bible Church. Please do not use their front spaces.
NEED HELP UNDERSTANDING TESTING RESULTS? We offer our second meeting to explain the results. Parents of students in grades 3 - 12 are encouraged to attend the meeting tomorrow morning, May 10, 9:00 am in the Dining Hall. Suzanne Stell and Dr. Jeff Pierce will give a helpful explanation of testing scores and address your questions. Parents of students in EC - 2 heard their report on Tuesday. If anyone has questions, please contact Jeff Pierce. |
