SHELTON STAMPEDE ROCKED!

The Stampede party at The Bomb Factory on March 24th was a smashing success! Thanks to co-chairs Shelly Lloyd and Tracy Fletcher and their incredible committee for making it beyond memorable. The1980s-themed event included dinner, fabulous items for live and big board auction, and musical entertainment by Broadway's Rock of Ages Band.  Thanks to our underwriting sponsors for being the anchors of our special evening  - your support was overwhelming. Hats off to the donors of our exciting auction items.   And, of course, thanks to all who attended and spent money, starting with our online auction. The Shelton Parents' Association is still tabulating financial proceeds, but, without a doubt, the fun factor and support were priceless and immeasurable.  Applause to Shelton parents Jeff Kollinger (Spice of Life Catering) for a divine dinner) and to Mike Kuntz (Media West Events) for running the show the entire evening, including our On the Move video. We again salute our World Tour Honorary Families who moved to Dallas so that their children could attend Shelton.  It's for our amazing students that everyone came together to make this event possible - we are forever grateful. SHELTON ROCKS, thanks to all of you!

CHINESE TEACHERS ENJOYING THEIR TEXAS-SIZED WELCOME AT SHELTON

A group of 11 teachers from Montessori Training Academy of Shanghai are here visiting through Thursday.  The relationship between Shelton and this academy began when Joyce Pickering and Amy Kelton visited Shanghai in October 2017 to provide training to 57 teachers.  It will continue this June, when 90 more teachers will receive additional training in Shelton's blend of traditional Montessori with our own proven practices for helping students who have a learning difference.

Above you see Ken Malcolmson, president of the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce, networking with the group. Below are two teachers visiting in Lower School.  Tomorrow Dallas City Councilperson Sandy Greyson will visit with the group and make official greetings from the City of Dallas. It's been a great week thus far for this cultural and educational exchange.

TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLPARK....
