Andy Krippner

Andy Krippner was a 2010 graduate of Shelton. He was much loved by his classmates, teachers and staff. At the 2010 Honors Program, he was presented with the June Shelton Award, which is given to someone who embodies the courage, perseverance and integrity of our founder. Throughout high school, Andy’s plan was to enlist in the army after graduation. After serving our country, he planned to go to college with the goal of following in his father’s footsteps and becoming a minister.

Andy was killed in action May 23, 2011 in Kunar Province, Afghanistan. He served our country and carried the load in the 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Private First Class. In his memory we invite others to help carry the load. The Andy Krippner Scholarship is awarded to Shelton students who most embody Andy’s spirit.
