Social Language Skills Program
After School Social Language Play Dates! Open to Shelton Students and Non-Shelton Students
The Shelton Speech Clinic is offering two social language groups this semester. Licensed speech-language pathologists who are trained in teaching social language and social thinking skills will lead each session. The group will focus on FUN! We’ll do indoor and outdoor games, snacks, crafts and drama. These activities will naturally provide opportunities to address social language skills. We’ll practice joining a group, cooperating with others, conversation skills, and social problem solving. The class will consist of students with social language challenges, as well as students with typically developing social language skills. Weekly emails will be sent detailing skills that were addressed so you can reinforce skills at home.
