Course Description: Assessment, analysis and practical application with phonological awareness skills development as well as oral language development will be presented in this seminar. Phonological awareness (PA) deficits are a key factor in reading difficulties. Understanding PA and oral language development can enhance reading instruction. After a discussion on oral language development, this seminar will provide practical information in assessing PA, addressing deficits and providing remediation.
