The 2012-2013 Varsity Cheerleaders attended NCA camp at UTD in June. They worked hard, learned a great deal and came home with several awards.
The team was awarded the Spirit Stick, the S.P.O.T. (Safety) Award, the Herkie Team (Leadership) Award, and the Tumbling/Technique Award. They also earned ALL Superior Ratings on their team evaluations and a bid to National Competition. To top it all off, the team brought home the trophy for best Champion Chant performance.

NCA All American Winners are Esther Verges, Grace Verges and Penny Miller.
The Shelton Mascots continued their award-winning tradition.
Veteran Mascot, Ruby Skotchdopole (Sunny) earned the Mascot Leadership Award and was named as an All American Mascot.
Senior Mascot, Chris Peterman (BOLT) earned the Most Spirited Mascot Award. He was also named as an All American Mascot.
As a mascot team, Chris and Ruby earned the Top Mascot Award!
Coach Britt and Coach Brooke are so proud of these efforts and look forward to the upcoming season.
