District Track results from this past weekend. 1st through 6th place scores points for the team. 1st through 4th qualify for Regionals. Ten Shelton students that qualified for Regionals, there were 2 new school records, and several posted personal records. The girls team placed higher than they've ever placed at District. At the Texas Relays, Reese Walters placed 5th out of 17 other runners in the 2000M Steeplechase on Thursday night. His time was 6:31. Tanner Owens qualified for the finals in the 110 Hurdles, with a school record time of 15.31. In the 100meter prelims Tanner pulled up injured and did not run in the finals on Saturday.
These festive social gatherings, organized by the Shelton Parents' Association, promote community for Shelton families and help support the Stampede Auction. Each Soiree is hosted by a Shelton family/families. A portion of the tickets and underwriting for the Stampede Soirees are tax deductible.
