LD Info

Shelton is committed to providing support to parents, family members, teachers, and caregivers of children whether or not they attend Shelton School. Discovering or suspecting that your child may have a learning difference can be an overwhelming experience. Shelton has gathered materials meant to help meet our goal and provide information to those close to the student in order to benefit the student in reaching their full potential.

How can we help?

My Student is Struggling

If your child is experiencing difficulties in school, but has not been diagnosed, we encourage you to seek testing through our Evaluation Center. At that point, you may choose to look into admission if it is found that Shelton's program would best serve your child or the Evaluation Center will give you referrals for services that will best meet your child's needs.

Below is information we have provided to help identify your student's struggles and learn more about learning differences and their characteristics and how to get help for your student.

Parent Booklet
A great place to start if your student is struggling at school with information about
