DEATH OF SHELTON TEACHER ELISABETH ROGERS
It is with sadness and a heavy heart that we report the death of Shelton teacher Elisabeth Rogers on June 24th. For almost three years, she fought a courageous battle with cancer.

Elisabeth joined the Shelton staff as a computer teacher in 1996. She began in Middle School at the Lover’s Lane campus, then moved to Lower School at the Swift Campus on Midway Road. In those days, she would often fill in for support staff during summers when they were away on vacation. After a brief time teaching public school, Elisabeth returned to Shelton as an Upper Elementary teacher and advisor, where she taught various subjects and trained in several academic language programs. When the opportunity arose, she returned to the computer lab, working with Lower and Upper Elementary students. In recent years she worked primarily with 5th through 8th grade computer classes, and acted as a technology resource person for 3rd / 4th grade teachers. During many years of summer school, she taught Math Facts, Book Report Rescue, Typing, and PowerPoint, to name but a few courses.

Elisabeth was known for her gentle spirit and a keen sense of humor.  She was caring, kind, and always helping students and staff. She is survived by her husband Monty, her mother Ethel, a sister, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 8 at 2:00 p.m.
Grace Fellowship Church

Our condolences are with Elisabeth's entire family.  She will be missed by all.
