SPECIAL THANKS - A MESSAGE FROM SUZANNE STELL

We had a wonderful Homecoming week and a fantastic football game and festivities last Friday night at The Star in Frisco!  What great spirit was present.

Special thanks to the following Shelton parents, grandparents and board member for their above-and-beyond efforts:

Charlotte and Shy Anderson / Gene and Jerry Jones - for offering the incredible venue and supplying security, concession and parking personnel, and anything else we could have hoped for

Bailey Ann and Brett Broughton / Konica Minolta - for the design and printing of 4,300 tickets

Kelli and Don Valade / Chili's - for giving $10 Chili's discount via 4,300 printed tickets

Laura and Ben Gordon
(7Eleven) and Kent and Lisa Montgomery (Pepsi) for our Shelton blue slurpees

Thanks for making our event so special for all our attendees.  We were Shelton Proud!

P.S.  We're not done yet - we'll party some more on Nov. 4 at our tailgate party at John Paul II High School.

STUDENT PHOTO IDs BEING SENT HOME
The division offices are sending home photo IDs that came free as part of yearbook photography.  IDs will be provided to students in Grades 1 - 11.  Seniors, who had their special portraits done this summer, received (or will receive) their ID badge with their packages.  There is one per student.  These are helpful in numerous places where a photo ID entitles the student to a discount or entrance.  Yearbook photo orders should be delivered to school around Oct. 14, and we'll send those home with students.

HEAR ERIC McGEHEARTY TONIGHT
Just a reminder that you are invited to hear Shelton alum / parent Eric McGehearty tonight at 7:00 pm in our Dining Hall.  The N. TX chapter of Academic Learning Therapy Association (ALTA) sponsors Eric tomorrow as part of its fall meeting.  Eric and his wife Heather locally head StandUpLD (formerly Parents Education Network).

Eric shares his experience as a dyslexic, an artist, and an entrepreneur.  Eric is CEO of GlobeRunner. Eric also is known for sharing technology tips that help people with dyslexia.
